If Jack Loved Christmas… This Would Be His Stocking!
Some say Halloween ends on October 31st… but in my craft room, Jack Skellington is forever. And if he were picking out a stocking for the holidays? You better believe it would be striped, spooky, and packed with handmade flair.
This Nightmare Before Christmas-inspired pull-top gift card holder mixes creepy-cute elegance with holiday charm. With rich black florals, bold red accents, and Jack’s unmistakable grin, this stocking turns a simple gift card into something unforgettable.
Best part? It’s easy to customize—and so fun to make!
Let’s turn cardstock and SVGs into holiday magic… the Jack Skellington way.

✂️ Jack Skellington Striped Stocking Assembly
From Halloween Town… to Holiday Cheer!
1️⃣ . Build the Stocking Base
• Cut the stocking front from striped Halloween Spells DSP
• Cut the stocking back from Basic Black Cardstock
• Adhere the front and back together, leaving the top open for the pull mechanism
2️⃣ Add Toe & Heel Details
• Cut the toe and heel from Real Red Cardstock
• Adhere to the front of the stocking
• Add faux stitching with a white gel pen for that stitched-up, handmade look

3️⃣ Make the Centerpiece – Jack in the Spotlight
• Die cut a Deckled Circle from Real Red & a slightly smaller one in White Daisy Cardstock
• Ink the edges of the Real Red Cardstock with the Real Red Classic
Stampin' Ink Pad using a sponge dauber
• Adhere your Jack Skellington SVG to the center
• Optional: Use foam tape behind the circle to give it extra pop
4️⃣ Add Poinsettias & Holly
Die-cut poinsettias from Basic Black Cardstock
Cut holly leaves from Garden Green Cardstock
Ink the edges with coordinating ink or Stampin’ Blends for added depth
Layer your florals with foam tape and finish with Cherry Cobbler Adhesive-Backed Berries
5️⃣ Final Touches – Sparkle It Up & Add Jack’s Title!
Let’s bring this spooky stocking to life with the perfect final details:
• Add your custom title.
I designed and cut “The Nightmare Before Christmas” title using my Cricut. After layering your poinsettias and holly, glue the title directly onto the cuff. It should sit prominently above the SVG centerpiece to tie the whole theme together.
• Brush on shimmer.
Use a Clear Shimmer Brush to add sparkle to your poinsettias, holly leaves, or even Jack’s face! It gives the stocking that frosty, festive glow, without losing that bold Halloween Town edge.
• Check your visual triangle.
Between the title, the florals, and the centerpiece, you’ve got drama, balance, and Disney magic in all the right places!
