How I Became "This Chick Loves Paper"

Hi friends! I’m April, and you’re joining me from my “craft room”—better known as my oversized coffee table! If you’ve read Who Is This Chick? How & Why I Began My Crafting Adventure, you know my scrapbook was a surprise project for my little man. The key word is “was”. Like most secrets, they don’t stay secrets for very long!!

But while I was trying to keep it hidden, I kept everything on the table, with a big stack of papers nearby, ready to cover things up if he walked in. It’s a mission of love (and a little bit of secrecy!).

One day, my son’s friends came over, saw the stack of paper on the table, and one by one, they each gave it a look, saying things like, “Woahhh, that’s a lot of paper!” My son, bringing up the rear, casually said, “This Chick Loves Paper!” And just like that, a name was born! Embracing my love for all things paper, ‘This Chick Loves Paper’ perfectly captured my creative spirit and has been my crafting identity ever since—thanks to my little man’s spark of inspiration!
